How stainless insulated bottle is made?

Lid/Cap: Plastic “polypropylene or Tritan”, usually is polypropylene, they are both food frade, FDA comply, polypropylene is much cheaper and easier to be manufactured.
Gaskt: silicone rubber
Bottle Flask Body: Stainless steel “SUS304 or SUS201”, usually is SUS 304 “18-8”, SUS201 is easier to get rust and not food grade, but much cheaper, some low end brands or promotion market is using SUS201 to make stainless steel bottles
The Manufacturing Process
- Manufacture double wall stainless steel: “Outer wall & inner wall”, manufacture the shape and size as design drawing specs.
- Copper Coating: copper coating on the inner wall which enhancing heat preservation performance
- Welding: welding the mouth edge, bottom
- Grinding: grinding the welding seam
- Vacuum Process: create vacuum space between double wall, and test 100% vacuum insulation
- Electrolysis: electrolysis process to create a inert layer on the surface of inner wall to make it good surface and not easy to get rust.
- Polishing:polishing the bottle flask to have good quality surface.
- Vacuum Test: test vacuum insulation of stainless steel bottle flask 100% again
- Surface treatment: different options for surface treatment, such as spray painting, powder coating, water transfer etc.
- Custom printing: custom printing with different method, such as pad printing, heat transfer printing, laser etching etc.
- Inspection and assembly: inspection, asembly with lids, gasket, sleeve, gift box
The top lid/cap
- the top lid/cap of bottle flask is made with plastic material usually, and it is made with injection machine
- with stainless steel material made top lid/cap, it is manufacture the lid then welding the top cover with base lid together, and grinding the welding seam and polishing.
- with stainless steel material made base lid and plastic made top cover, put stainless steel base lid on injection mould then process injection to have combined stainless steel/plastic lid/cap
The most important of stainless steel vacuum insulated bottle flask is vacuum insulation, that’s why we have double “vacuum insulation test” during the whole manufacturing process.
The raw material cost is very important for high end quality stainless steel bottles, we recommend 18-8 Food grade stainless steel.
The polishing quality is very important if no any other surface treatment, our company set full inspection after polising process.
